Minakari

Welcome to our Minakari page. Minakari is an ancient Persian artform that is used to apply patterns to metal objects. Coloured glass powder is fused to the metal by heating it. This is a time consuming process which is done by hand. The technique originates in ancient Persia but has been spread throughout Asia by the Mongols. Our minakari collection originates in Isfahan. An artistic city built around an oasis in the highlands of Iran.
